A Frank Lloyd Wright-Style Sanctuary on a Private Yosemite Stream. Wake up in the pines. Fall asleep to a sky on fire. Spend the hours between beside your own stream. MORNING Light spills through the clerestory windows and across the Douglas fir beams before you're even out of bed. Your feet find the warmth of radiant concrete floors. The coffee is on, the terrace doors are open all eight feet of them, and the sound of moving water drifts in from the stream below. You take your cup out onto the deck, and the ponderosas are already glowing. AFTERNOON This is a home made for lingering. Cook in a kitchen of handscraped alder and honed granite, with a Bertazzoni range and an island built for friends who never leave it. Settle into the great room, where walls of glass bring the forest inside. Curl up in the fir window seat upstairs with a book and nowhere to be. Walk down to the stone-bottomed stream, where the afternoon light turns the water to gold and the world goes quiet. EVENING Dinner goes out to the wraparound deck as the sky begins to burn. Then the stars arrive, thousands of them, over the treetops. When the air cools, you come back inside to the wood stove crackling in its board-formed concrete surround, beneath vaulted pine ceilings and a custom timber frame joined with blackened steel. Hand-forged iron, natural slate, and native wood surround you. Nothing about it feels hurried, and nothing about it feels borrowed. **A HOME COMPOSED WITH ITS LANDSCAPE** Set on 0.34 private acres in Foresta, this custom 2-bed, 2-bath, 1,450 sq ft residence was designed in the spirit of Frank Lloyd Wright. Its broad standing-seam metal rooflines, board-and-batten walls, and sculpted concrete foundation sit low and quiet in the trees, so the home feels grown rather than built. It backs to protected National Park land, and it is offered for the first time. A private driveway, a new septic system (2026), private water storage for added fire protection, a water softener and filtration system, and Starlink internet mean you can simply arrive and begin. Upstairs, a family room gives everyone room to spread out. Outside, stone steps climb the hillside to a picnic area, ready for long lunches under the pines. Granite walls, waterfalls, and the Merced River are all close at hand. This is not just a house in Yosemite country. It is a front-row seat to the Sierra, and it has never been available before.
