Situated in prestigious Big Trees Village, 2353 Shoshone Drive offers the quintessential Sierra Nevada lifestyle, just a short drive from local dining in Arnold, wine tasting and boutique shopping in historic Murphys, and premier skiing and snowboarding at Bear Valley Resort. Out back, there are no rear neighbors to wave at. The cabin backs directly to private timberland, so the only thing looking into your yard is the forest. Morning coffee on the deck comes with birdsong, filtered sunlight, and the kind of quiet most people only find on vacation. And when the coffee's done, forest adventures like hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing await just beyond your back door. Inside, sunlight cascades through high clerestory windows, bathing the great room in warm natural light beneath soaring vaulted ceilings and rich wood finishes. Coffee brews in the spacious kitchen while family and friends gather around the bright breakfast area, fueling up for a day of outdoor adventure. Whether winter brings fresh powder at Bear Valley or summer calls for exploring the majestic sequoia groves of Calaveras Big Trees State Park, every day here ends with a welcoming return. Unload your skis, snowboards, mountain bikes, and trail gear into the convenient storage beneath the cabin, then step onto the freshly painted deck to watch the evening light drift through the trees. On chilly mountain nights, gather around the newly replaced, county-permitted wood stove as crackling flames set a cozy mood, backed by propane forced-air heat for year-round comfort. Designed for both effortless hosting and quiet solitude, the open floor plan features two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a versatile loft, perfect for extra sleeping space, a work-from-home office, or a peaceful reading nook. Practical touches like dual-pane windows and public water let you relax rather than maintain, while optional Big Trees Village membership gives you access to summer days by the community pool. Located in the heart of the Calaveras high country, this cabin isn't just a house. It's the backdrop for weekend escapes, a mountain vacation home, or the start of a whole new way of life in the pines.
